Joe graduated as a veterinary surgeon from Bristol University in 2003 and has spent the past 20 years working in West Cornwall, focusing primarily on equine practice. He loves the clinical work and particularly enjoys being able to carry it out in the great outdoors of one of the most beautiful counties in the country.

While Joe enjoys all aspects of equine veterinary care, he has a particular interest in lameness investigations, improving performance, and advanced dentistry. He is committed to providing a range of treatment options and communicating these clearly to clients. Joe believes there is rarely just one approach to a problem, and carefully considering all aspects is key to finding the right path forward.

Outside of work, Joe enjoys outdoor pursuits such as trail running and camping when time allows, alongside spending quality time with his family and supporting their various sports and hobbies. Recently, he even had to dig out his old Western Hunt Pony Club tie to lend to his daughter, Elowen.

"West Cornwall is a special place, and it’s a privilege to do the job I love in the area I grew up in and call home. The people are fantastic, and being part of the community is very important to me. I look forward to bringing this spirit to Towan Vets and working with you all."
