Sam Wheeler - Veterinary Surgeon and Director

Sam graduated as a veterinary surgeon in 2019 and has since worked primarily in equine practice across the UK.  He has also spent time in Belgium at a large embryo transfer centre, in New Zealand working with thoroughbred racehorses and in Gambia, performing charity work with limited facilities. These varied experiences have helped shape a well-rounded clinical approach and a strong understanding of the practical needs of both horses and their owners.

Sam enjoys all aspects of equine veterinary work and is particularly interested in medicine, reproduction, and surgery. He is currently working towards a Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (CertAVP) to further develop his professional skills.

He takes a collaborative approach to care, working closely with owners and other equine professionals — including external specialists, farriers and physiotherapists — to ensure the best outcomes for each horse. Sam values open communication and teamwork, and believes in building strong, trusted relationships with clients.

Having grown up in Truro, Sam is glad to have returned to Cornwall.  He is a keen trail runner and surfer and enjoys spending as much time outdoors as possible.
